1. Wastewater components of waterborne coatings
The main components of water-based paints are: ethylene glycol butyl ether, alcohol esters, water-soluble synthetic resins, water-soluble additives, water-based diluents, organic solvent-free coatings, free of benzene, toluene, xylene Formaldehyde, free TDI toxic heavy metal, non-toxic and non-irritating odor, harmless to the human body, does not pollute the environment, the film is full, crystal clear, flexible, and has water resistance, wear resistance, aging resistance, yellowing resistance, fast drying, Easy to use and other features.

wastewater composition

In the water tank using the wet spray booth, it is necessary to add a flocculant for water-based paint. The water-based paint is completely miscible with water. The COD, ammonia nitrogen, color and other pollution indicators are very high. After treatment by a special sewage treatment station, the water is discharged into the industrial sewage pipe network of the industrial zone. A sewage discharge permit must be obtained.

(1.) There is a sewage treatment station in the factory.

The wet spray booth is treated with flocculant, the paint residue is removed, and the waste water is discharged (shipped) to the sewage treatment station for treatment. After passing the test, it is discharged into the municipal pipe network.

(2.) No sewage treatment station in the factory

The wet spray booth is treated with a flocculant to remove the paint residue; a wastewater treatment facility is set up; or it is transported to another sewage treatment station for treatment. After passing the test, it is discharged into the municipal pipe network.

Wastewater treatment

2. Wastewater treatment method for waterborne coatings

(1.) Air floatation

The air floatation method is to make a sufficient amount of tiny bubbles in the wastewater. The three-phase pollutants of the solid-liquid gas can be suspended, and under the action of surface tension and buoyancy, the microbubbles adhere to the contaminant particles to be removed, and the density of the binder is less than water and floats to the surface of the water, thereby making the water Contaminants are separated and removed.

The paint wastewater contains a considerable proportion of volatile components and oils. The paint wastewater treatment can be treated by air flotation, that is, by highly dispersed microbubbles as a carrier, the suspended matter in the wastewater is adhered to a density less than water and floated to the surface. Or use the flocculation of flocculant to achieve solid-liquid separation. The air flotation method can achieve the removal rate of suspended solids in wastewater by 65%, and the removal rates of CODCr and BOD5 are above 50%, which can be used as a primary treatment after homogenization.

(2.) Coagulation method

The coagulation method is a method often used in the treatment of industrial wastewater. The chemical particles are used to concentrate the colloidal particles and the micro-suspensions in the water to separate, and the coagulation and flocculation are collectively referred to as coagulation. It is used in the treatment of paint wastewater, mainly to remove fine suspended solids and colloidal particles in wastewater, and to reduce the turbidity and pigment of wastewater. It can be used independently as a processing method and often used in conjunction with other methods.

(3.) Adsorption method

The adsorption method utilizes the surface of the porous solid adsorbent to adsorb one or more pollutants in the wastewater to achieve the purpose of wastewater purification. Adsorption unit operation typically involves three steps. The first is to make the wastewater and the solid adsorbent contact, the pollutants in the waste water are adsorbed by the adsorbent; the second step separates the adsorbent adsorbing the pollutants from the waste water; finally, the regeneration or renewal of the adsorbent is performed. According to the method of contact and separation, the adsorption operation can be divided into two types: static intermittent adsorption method and dynamic continuous adsorption method.

(4.) Extraction method

The extraction method utilizes a specific solvent to be thoroughly mixed with the waste water, so that some pollutants dissolved in the waste water are re-distributed and transferred to the solvent, and then the solvent and the extracted waste water are separated to achieve the purpose of purifying the waste water.

(5.) Membrane separation method

The application of membrane separation technology in large-scale wastewater treatment and reuse is a new technology that has been accepted and developed in recent years.
